SURF 2023 will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 in University Center Ballroom located on the 3rd floor of the University Center.

What Is the Abstract & Poster Submission Deadline?
Abstract/ Registration deadline was July 24, 2023 and is currently closed.
Deadline to submit posters for printing by UMBC Research Graphics is August 2, 2023 5:00pm EST, please check with CommonVision or Staples for their deadline if you’re printing with them.

Can I Present Research from Another Institution/University?
This year we are only accepting undergraduate students from UMBC, but hope to extend invitations to other institutions and universities in the coming years.

When will the poster presentation assignment be posted?
Poster presentations assignments will be posted approximately one week after the abstract submission deadline.
Poster Printing
It is recommended that the mentor works with the student researcher to design and print the poster. SURF does not provide funding for the printing of posters. Poster requirements are provided online. The maximum poster size for SURF is 36-inches wide by 42-inches high (~92 cm x ~107 cm).
